In 2008 I started training Muay Thai & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu after having done a few years of boxing & kickboxing. I trained for 8 yeas at Ronin MMA before taking a hiatus. In 2023 I returned to the mat at ATOS Panama, great club and great people. Then I was on vacation in Peru and had the opportunity to train at Sniper Jiu-Jitsu for a bit. Another group of great people and solid club. I was also able to go for a class at Xtreme Combat Jiu Jitsu.
Its been fun, met some jiu jitsu stars like Marcelo Garcia, Jake MacKenzie, Rigan Machado, UFC stars like Wanderlei Silva, Cain Velasquez, Rich Franklin, Clay Guida, Muay Thai legends Clifton Brown & Coban Lookchaomaesaitong.
Now I’m returning to the mat in Canada for a while. Things have changed a lot since I started. Way more blackbelts in the city, regular local competitions, and more clubs.
Here are some memories of my time training over the years, I’m a blue belt, will remain a blue belt, and happy to do so.
