I am really looking forward to this fight. Personally I’m in the corner (figuratively) of Cote because he’s a Canadian and has giving an MMA seminar at my gym.
Silva is deserving of the pound for pound title as much as Fedor is. Watching Silva in the octagon he is one of the few fighters who seems to translate pure Muay Thai technique to MMA. His clinch and knees are deadly, ask Rich Franklin who had his nose moved to the side of his face.
Cote is no slouch and I think he can beat Silva. I think the best way to beat silva would be to do something totally unexpected, like the flying Flying Scissor Heel Hook that Ryo Chonan pulled off.
